Just as it was in the past, magic tricks and those who perform them are extremely popular. There has truly been a great revival of interest in the art of illusion. Magic shows once again are huge television programs, and there are quite a few magicians with household name status. Because of this, there are many people in the world that have a desire to learn how to perform magic and illusion. Magic and illusion can be a great hobby for anyone looking to have a good time, or make some money. For those who want to learn, there has honestly never been a better time to start learning how to perform magic and illusion. For a beginning magician, there are quite a few free websites out there that give great instructional videos and tutorials on how to perform simple magic tricks. If you practice the theory of magic learned through videos, free articles, and great eBooks that are available online then there is no limit to the number of tricks you can learn. You can learn card tricks at home on your own time with these new and improved methods.

Street magic performers have revived the popularity of things like coin and card tricks over the last few years. Mentalism is a very old, but great type of magic that is regaining interest as well. If you are looking to become the next David Blaine, or just amuse your friends and family, there are great opportunities out there for aspiring magicians and illusionists.
